PCOE & PUSD Juneteenth holiday

Reminder: Thursday, June 19th is the Juneteenth holiday. PCOE and PUSD programs will be closed that day, as well as the district office at 50 Church St. in Quincy.
Closed programs include the Summer Expanded Learning program and the Summer Meals program. They will resume at their regular times on Friday, June 20th.
The district office at 50 Church St. in Quincy is on its Summer Schedule until August 11, 2025. The Summer Schedule is Monday - Thursday from 8 am to 4:30 pm, and open by appointment only on Fridays. Regular hours resume the week of August 11, 2025, Monday - Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Important–Please note the meeting is specifically for FCMAT to hear from our community about the following topic: qualities you believe are most important in a district administrator who will guide the district through the initial phase of state receivership and recovery.

PUSD Special Board Meeting 5/14/25

A PUSD Special Board Meeting is taking place at 7pm, Wednesday, May 14, 2025 immediately following the regular board meeting being held at Chester Elementary School.

The purpose of the special board meeting is to hold a revote on:

1. PUSD Resolutions 1681 and 1682
2. Candidates for District 5 Board Seat appointment

A revote is needed on these items because in the original vote, only three members voted, with a 2-1 outcome which does not constitute a legal action. A five member board requires a minimum of three affirmative or negative votes to constitute a legal action.

The Special Board Meeting agenda will be published by 5pm, Tuesday, May 13, 2025. The link is available on the www.pcoe.k12.ca.us website.
